Launch a personal AI assistant for your business in one day
Set up a Claude-based chatbot, upload corporate data, and connect it to your website - no coding required
- 1.Go to Claude.ai and create a new project (Projects in the left menu). Name it 'Assistant [Company Name]'.
You'll need a free Claude account. Projects are available in the web version.
Claude ↗ - 2.Upload corporate documents to the project: price lists, FAQs, delivery policies, service descriptions in PDF or TXT format. Use the 「Upload files」 button in the project interface.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: all uploaded files are stored on Anthropic's servers. Your company is fully responsible for the confidentiality of this data. Do not upload customer information, passwords, bank details, or other sensitive data. Use only public company information.
Claude Projects ↗ - 3.In the project settings, add instructions for the assistant. Insert this prompt:
This text sets the chatbot's behavior and context. Replace [company name], [type of services], and [limitations] with your actual company data.
Claude Projects ↗PromptYou are a customer service assistant for [company name]. Your role is to help customers with questions about [type of services/products]. Use only the information from the uploaded documents. If a question is outside your scope or you don't have information, politely say: 'I don't have information about this. Please contact our team at [contact].' Be friendly, concise, and professional. Always suggest booking a consultation or contacting sales for complex requests.
What this prompt doesThe prompt is in English - this is the standard for Claude. It explains the chatbot's role, which information to use, and how to respond to questions. Replace [company name], [type of services/products], and [contact] with real data. For example: 'You are a customer service assistant for ProClean. Your role is to help customers with questions about cleaning services. ... Please contact our team at sales@proclean.com.' - 4.Test the assistant by asking several questions in the project chat. Verify that it answers based on your uploaded documents and doesn't make up information.
If answers are inaccurate, edit the instructions in the project or reformat the uploaded documents.
Claude Projects ↗ - 5.Connect the assistant to your website via Claude API (for developers). Or use a ready-made solution: Zapier → Claude → integration with a chat widget on your site. If you lack technical skills, order a simple integration through a no-code platform like Make.com.
Website integration uses Claude API - this is a paid option (pay-as-you-go after startup credits); usually requires a developer or no-code platform (Make/Zapier, with their own limits). For a quick start, use the assistant directly in Claude Projects - free, no integration needed.
Claude API / Zapier / Make.com ↗ - 6.⚠️ Do NOT share your project via a public link in Claude. If your team needs access, invite members directly to the project through 「Share」 with specific roles (view-only, edit, etc.).
A public link gives full access to ALL uploaded documents to anyone who copies it. This is a risk of corporate data leakage. Use private invitations only for company employees.
Claude Projects ↗ - 7.Done. The assistant is working. Track user questions, update the documents in the project weekly, and improve the instructions based on missing answers.
Keep conversation logs - they help identify which information customers search for most often.
