Build a city with residents in Minecraft using an AI agent
Describe it in words - the agent builds houses, roads and landscape block by block, you download a ready-made world file
- 1.Open the genMC studio in your browser at genmc.app/build. Click «Connect agent» in the agent column - a short pairing code will appear, valid for 10 minutes.
No account required: building, saving and exporting work for free right in the browser.
genMC ↗ - 2.In your MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, etc.), add a new MCP server with the address https://genmc.app/api/mcp. Once connected, paste the pairing code from step 1 into the chat - the agent will get building tools for this tab.
genMC does not run its own AI and requires no model API key: it uses the agent you already have access to.
Claude Desktop / any MCP client ↗ - 3.Send the agent a prompt describing the civilization. The agent will plan the build, place blocks in the 3D view, and show each step on a timeline.
You can attach a reference image - the agent will build based on it.
genMC ↗PromptBuild a medieval village civilization with 8 buildings: a blacksmith forge, a tavern, three small houses with gardens, a windmill on a hill, a wooden watchtower, and a small chapel. Add cobblestone roads connecting all buildings, a central well, fences around pastures with sheep, and trees along the paths. Surround everything with a stone wall and a wooden gate. Use oak, cobblestone, spruce planks and glass panes. Make it on flat green terrain.
What this prompt doesThe English prompt asks the agent to build a medieval village with 8 buildings (forge, tavern, houses, windmill, tower, chapel) with roads, a well, pastures and a wall. Replace the building types, materials and landscape to your taste - for example, «futuristic city» or «japanese temple complex». - 4.While the agent builds, use the 3D view (WASD - walk, Space - jump, F - fly). If you need to fix something, select blocks with your mouse in the 3D view and tell the agent what to change - your manual edits will not be overwritten by the agent.genMC ↗
- 5.When the build is ready, click «Export» and choose a format: .schem for WorldEdit / Litematica or .mcfunction. Unzip the file into your Minecraft saves folder (Java Edition) or import the .schem via the installed WorldEdit/Litematica mod on a server or in single-player.
If you don't have the WorldEdit mod, use Moxel (moxel.gg) as an alternative - it exports a ready-made vanilla world that you simply unzip into the saves folder without any mods.
