Capture thoughts by voice from Apple Watch into your Second Brain via Claude
In 5 minutes, set up your watch so any dictated thought becomes a structured note
- 1.Install the Rover app on your iPhone - it is a free bridge app between Apple Watch and Claude via the Anthropic API.
The app is free, but live responses require an Anthropic API key (see step 2). Without a key you can try the built-in demo mode, but it does not call Claude.
Rover ↗ - 2.Get an Anthropic API key: sign in to Console, create a key, and save it. If you have a Claude Max 5x or Max 20x subscription, you receive monthly API credits that can pay for Rover requests.
Without active billing in Console the key will not work. Your card details go only to Anthropic, not Rover - the third-party app sees only the key itself.
Anthropic Console ↗ - 3.Open Rover on your iPhone, paste the API key into the key field, and save it - the key is stored in the device Keychain.
Make sure the Claude Haiku model is selected - it is faster and cheaper for short voice notes.
Rover ↗ - 4.Install Rover on your Apple Watch via the Watch app on your iPhone, open it on the watch, and wait for settings to sync. Confirm consent to send data to Anthropic.
The watch connects to Anthropic directly over Wi-Fi or cellular - no need to keep your iPhone nearby. Requires watchOS 26.2+ and iOS 26.2+.
Rover ↗ - 5.Dictate your idea on the watch together with this prompt, replacing the text in brackets with your thought.
Dictate calmly - typos are fine, Claude will fix them in the response.
Rover ↗PromptYou are my Second Brain assistant. I dictate raw voice notes on my watch. Clean up my dictation, fix errors, expand it into a structured note with a short title, a 2-3 sentence summary, and 2-3 tags at the end. Keep my original meaning, do not invent facts. Here is my note: [dictate your thought, e.g.: idea for an article about morning rituals and how sleep affects productivity]
What this prompt doesThe prompt is in English: it asks Claude to turn your voice note into a note with a title, a short summary, and tags. Replace the text in square brackets with your own thought - you can dictate it by voice right on the watch. - 6.Open the chat history in Rover on your iPhone, copy the finished note, and paste it into your notes app (Notes, Notion, Obsidian, etc.).
History is stored on the device and syncs between the watch and iPhone.
