Create a free Google Gemini account and complete your first request in 5 minutes
Sign in with your Google account, explore the interface, and run your first AI task - no cost, no complexity
- 1.Open your browser and go to gemini.google.com.
Works with Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, or Edge. If you're already signed into your Google account in the browser, Gemini will open right away.
Google Gemini Web ↗ - 2.Click the «Sign in» button in the top right corner and sign in with your Google account (Gmail address).
No payment information required. Use an existing account or create a new one if you don't have one.
Google Account ↗ - 3.After signing in, you'll see the main screen with a text input field. This is Gemini's ready-to-use interface. On the left is a panel with previous chats; on the right is a «+ New chat» button to start a new conversation.
The interface uses Neural Expressive design with smooth animations (updated May 2026). Top left menu gives access to Gems (saved tools) and Settings.
Google Gemini Interface ↗ - 4.Type a request in the input field at the bottom and press Enter or click send. Start simple: Translate this to Russian: 'Hello, I'm starting to use Google Gemini'
This lets you verify the AI is listening. Gemini 2.5 Flash (the default model for free) will respond instantly.
Google Gemini Chat ↗PromptTranslate this to English: [your text here]. Keep it short and natural.
- 5.Look at Gemini's response. Below the AI's message you'll find buttons: three dots (menu), copy button, and a button to hear the answer read aloud. Click the three dots → «Google it» (verify with Google Search) to make sure the answer is correct.
This is a built-in fact-check feature. Gemini will compare its answer with information online and highlight what's verified and what isn't.
Google Gemini Verification ↗ - 6.Now try a harder task. In the same chat, write a new request: Write a short motivational message for someone starting to learn AI. Make it 2-3 sentences, friendly tone.
Add context: who needs this, what style, how long. The more specific your request, the better the answer. You can then ask for reformatting: 'Make this shorter' or 'Use a more formal tone'.
Google Gemini Chat ↗PromptWrite a short motivational message for [who: student/professional/beginner]. Make it [length: 2-3 sentences/one paragraph]. Tone: [friendly/formal/humorous]. About: [topic - e.g., learning AI, starting a project].
- 7.Fine-tune the answer if needed. Click on Gemini's response and select three dots → «Regenerate» to get an alternative version. Or type in the chat: 'Make it shorter' or 'Translate to Russian'.
Gemini remembers the conversation context, so it will understand what you're asking without repeating your previous request. This makes quick edits easy.
